Cookies are small text files saved to your device when you visit the site; they are used to run the site and improve your experience.
Cookies we use
Essential and preference cookies are needed to run the site. Analytics and advertising measurement cookies run only if you press “Accept” on the cookie banner; if you reject, they are never loaded.

Advertising measurement and Meta
We promote MarbleMap on Facebook and Instagram. To measure whether those ads work we use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API. Both run only if you have given consent. If you reject, no Meta script is loaded, no _fbp/_fbc cookie is created, and our server sends nothing to Meta.
If you have consented and you submit an enquiry form, our server reports that submission to Meta. The fields sent are: your email address and phone number — never in the clear, only as an irreversible SHA-256 hash; your IP address; your browser user agent; the _fbp/_fbc identifiers; the event name; the event id and the address of the page you submitted from. Your name, the content of your message and the details of your enquiry are not sent to Meta.
The recipient is Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Ireland) and its group company Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA). Meta also processes this data under its own terms — see the Meta Privacy Policy. Transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Managing cookies
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer: your choice is reset, the banner reappears, and any _fbp/_fbc advertising cookies already set are deleted from your browser. Withdrawal takes effect going forward; it does not affect processing lawfully carried out beforehand.
You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect some parts of the site.
