Submitting a Sealed Offer on MarbleMap: A Supplier's Guide to Line-Item Pricing
Quoting on a B2B stone demand usually means long email threads, spreadsheets that never quite match, and the nagging feeling that a competitor undercut you by a cent. MarbleMap takes a different route: buyers publish structured demands, suppliers respond with sealed offers, and the platform charges no commission on the deal. The video above follows a marble producer from Afyonkarahisar quoting on a live hotel-project demand from a Rotterdam buyer, step by step. Here is how the same flow works for you.
Why sealed offers matter for suppliers
On MarbleMap, every offer reaches the buyer sealed. Other suppliers can never see your prices, and you can never see theirs. That single rule changes how you quote: there is no public bidding war to chase, so you price your material and your service at what they are actually worth. The buyer compares all incoming offers on a single screen and can message you directly through the platform when something needs clarifying.
Access to the marketplace comes through supplier packages, which include a weekly offer allowance. Once your company account is set up, every open demand in your category is one click away.
From the Marketplace to the buyer's conditions
The Marketplace screen lists open demands in your category, and each card already tells you a lot: a summary of the items and the closing date. Choosing "Review & make offer" opens the full demand detail, and this is where careful suppliers win. Product items, quantities and units appear exactly as the buyer entered them. You also see the delivery point, the target delivery date, the payment terms the buyer requests and the Incoterms they accept. In the demand shown in the video above, the buyer asks for Net 30 and accepts FOB and CIF. Knowing all of this before you write a single number saves both sides a round of back and forth.
Line-item pricing: the buyer's items are locked
The offer wizard starts with the commercial frame: you pick your offer currency from twelve options and give the offer a validity date. Exchange rates shown along the way are indicative and are locked in when the buyer accepts.
Then comes the heart of an itemised demand. The line items come from the buyer and they are locked; names and quantities cannot be changed. As a supplier you do exactly one thing on this screen: set your price for each line. That constraint is the secret of comparability. Because every supplier prices the same lines, the buyer reads offers line by line, apples to apples, and your sharp price on a specific item stays visible instead of drowning in a lump sum. A totals panel on the right recalculates with every entry, so you always know where your offer stands.
Expenses, payment terms and Incoterms without surprises
Costs like freight do not get buried inside unit prices. They are added as separate expense lines; in the video, sea freight and packing goes in as its own line and the grand total updates instantly. Buyers see exactly what they are paying for, and your offer stands out for its transparency.
The payment step lets you answer the buyer's request directly. A Net 30 preset fills a zero percent advance and a thirty-day term automatically, and responding to the buyer's terms this clearly increases your offer's chance of being accepted. On the terms step you choose an Incoterm, ideally one already on the buyer's accepted list, such as CIF in the video. The same step also lets you attach documents such as quality certificates to back your offer up.
Review, submit, stay sealed
The review screen shows items, expenses and payment terms at a glance, with the grand total and an indicative dollar equivalent next to it. One click on "Submit offer" and the demand card shows "Your offer: Submitted". From that moment your offer sits sealed with the buyer: competitors cannot see it, the buyer compares everything on a single screen, and the conversation continues in the platform's messaging when needed. MarbleMap also speaks thirteen languages, from English and Turkish to Chinese and Arabic, so language never becomes the obstacle between a good demand and a good offer.
